Seven Deadly Sins Spinoff Manga King no Manga Michi Ends With 3rd Volume

The 45th chapter of Masataka Ono’s Nanatsu no TaizaiKing no Manga Michi (The Seven Deadly Sins – King’s Road to Manga) comedy spinoff manga announced last week that the manga will end with the third compiled volume. The volume is slated for July 14.

The four-panel manga is a spinoff of Nakaba Suzuki‘s The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai), and depicts King aspiring to be a manga creator. In the story, King wants to work as an assistant under professional manga creator Meliodas, and knocks on his door, but the one that answers the door is the editor — the pig Hawk.

Ono launched the manga in Magazine Special in February 2016, and it moved to Kodansha‘s Magazine Pocket manga app on February 1.Kodansha published the manga’s second volume (seen right) in August.

Suzuki launched the original manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012. Crunchyroll is posting new chapters of the manga online as they appear in Japan.

Suzuki drew two spinoff manga for The Seven Deadly Sins in February 2015: Naku na, Tomo yo (Don’t Cry, My Friend) and Gilthunder no Shinjitsu (Gilthunder’s Truth). Chie Sakamoto debuted the Nanatsu no TaizaiProduction (The Seven Deadly Sins Production) comedy spinoff manga in November 2015, and Jūichi Kugi‘s Mayoe! Nanatsu no Taizai Gakuen! comedy spinoff manga ran from 2014 to November 2016. A manga adapting Mamoru Iwasa’s Nanatsu no Taizai: Seven Days novel began in January in Shonen Magazine Edge. The original manga also had a crossover chapter with Fairy Tail in 2013.
